On Thursday 6 October 2022, the University of Glasgow hosted the Fifth Gilbert Murray Trust Triennial Lecture. The speaker was the poet, critic and translator A.E. Stallings. She chose as her subject “But In Sad Truth Their Own”. The notice and details of the event are given below.
The event took place within the framework of the UK celebrations for the Bicentennial of the Greek War of Independence: ’21 in ’21 (see further https://21in21.co.uk). We are grateful for the support of the University of Glasgow, the ’21 in ’21 steering committee, the Centre for Hellenic Studies at King’s College London, and the A.G. Leventis Foundation.
